
- Check and perform the image position adjustment before you do the following scanner adjustments. (Refer to Image Position Adjustment)
- Use a C4 test chart to do the following adjustments.
Scanner leading edge and side-to-side registration
- Put the test chart on the exposure glass. Then make a copy from one of the feed stations.
 A: Leading Edge Registration B: Side-to-side Registration 
- Check the leading edge and side-to-side registration. - A: 4.2 ± 2mm 
 B: 2.0 ± 1mm
- Adjust the following SP modes if necessary. - Name - SP mode - Leading edge registration (Home Position Adj Value) - SP4-803-001 - Side-to-Side Registration (Main Scan Reg) - SP4-011-001 
Scanner magnification
- Put the test chart on the exposure glass. Then make a copy from one of the feed stations. A: Sub-scan magnification 
- Check the magnification ratio. 
 Standard:- Normal mode for main-scan: ±0.55% or less
- Normal mode for sub-scan: ±1.00% or less
- Reduction mode for main-scan: ±1.00% or less
- Enlargement mode for main-scan: ±1.00% or less
 
- Adjust with SP4-008 if necessary. 
Scanner shading correction
- Turn the power OFF and then ON.
 The shading correction is executed automatically when the machine is rebooted.
